Power Generator Engineer Competitive Salary PeterboroughMonday to Friday 40 hours – 8am to 4:30pmOvertime after 8 hours, first 4 hours is time and a half, thereafter paid at double timePower Generator engineer / Peterborough / engineer / Power Generator /The recruitment group is proud to be working with a global brand that provides world-class maintenance service to all their customers along with manufacturing the highest quality diggers around the world.Our client is looking for forward-thinking, energetic people with a "can-do" attitude, who are receptive to change and who wholeheartedly embrace the opportunity to take responsibility for themselves and the companys ongoing successMain duties and responsibilities of a Power Generator Engineer:Carry out minor and major services to diesel engine generator sets at customer sitesVisit customer sites to perform site surveys in order to assist in project design and proposalsVisit customer sites to perform, but not limited to, diesel generator installationsVisit customer sites to perform commissioning in liaison with electrical contractorsEmergency call outs to customer breakdownsControl system wiringPLC / Deep Sea / Deif programming workExperience in Load banking all sizes of generatorsAttendance at relevant product training coursesPrepared to work unsociable hoursExperience/knowledge requirements for a Power Generator Engineer:Mechanical engineeringElectrical engineeringIEE regs - 18th Edition (beneficial)Minimum of an NVQ 2 in plant engineering, servicing and maintenance Knowledge of the Plant industry environment or similar industryExperience on hydraulic systems, open and closed loop, axles, transmissions manual and power shift, cam-bus electrical systems Professional customer facing skillsetExcellent ability to work under pressure with flexibility to meet the needs of the customerClean driving licence and good driving recordBenefits of a Power Generator Engineer:22 days paid holiday + bank holidays + 1 day for every 5 years completed service.Pension schemeDeath in Service Scheme Private medical health (contributory)Company van and fuel cardCompany uniformCall out with standby payment and guaranteed 4 hours overtime.Please call Clarissa at the recruitment group to find out more about this position.
