Job Description

Type: Permanent, Full-TimeLocation: PeterboroughStart date: AsapSalary: £15 - £18PhHoliday: 28 days per annum (including bank holidays), additional day accrual with each year of employmentBenefits:

Work Schedule:
  • Standard hours: Mon - Fri 8 am - 4:30 pm (40 hours per week)
About:Our client is a growing organisation specialising in process pipework, fabrication, and mechanical installation projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a versatile welder/fabricator to join us and support a high-profile client in Peterborough. Throughoutyour tenure, our clients are committed to providing training opportunities to enhance and refine your skills.Responsibilities:As a qualified welder/fabricator with experience in mild steel MIG and stainless steel TIG welding, you will be based in our workshop within our clients facility in Peterborough. Primary duties include fabricating and welding various items, such as smalland large bore pipework in carbon and stainless steel, general fabrication in mild steel, and other related tasks to contribute to project delivery.Qualifications:You should be able to:
  • Work safely in accordance with RAMS and safe systems of work.
  • Read technical drawings and interpret project requirements.
  • Measure, cut, and prepare materials for welding.
  • TIG weld carbon steel and stainless pipework to a high standard.
  • Use initiative and create basic drawings when needed.
  • MIG weld mild steel hollow sections, structural profiles, and sheet metal.
  • Possess demonstrable experience in butt-welding stainless-steel pipework.
  • Desirable: MMA welding experience.
Additional Requirements:
  • Must live within a commutable distance of Peterborough.
  • CSCS not required. Forklift and/or IPAF 3a/3b would be advantageous, and training will be provided as necessary.
