Job Description

Role: Pipe fitter/WelderLocation: PeterboroughBenefits: £18 per hour + vanAs a Pipe fitter / Welder in the Engineering Team, your role would involve supporting the growing business in liquid and powder process solution equipment, consumable supplier to the food, beverage, brewery, bakery, dairy industries throughout the UK. Youwould be responsible for site activities of projects to the liquid & powder process & food industry in the UK.In addition, you would be responsible for reactive and proactive maintenance of factory equipment, ensuring that it operates efficiently, reliably, and safely. You would also be responsible for conducting equipment inspections, identifying, and diagnosingfaults, and recommending appropriate solutions.Qualifications / Experience

  • Welding & pipe fitting engineering qualification (NVQ City & Guilds)
  • Experience in reading P&IDs, flow sheets, and layout drawings.
  • Knowledge of fitting pipes, valves, pumps, instruments, brackets, and steel-work. Fabricating vessels and tanks, heat exchangers and evaporators, filtration systems, pasteurizers, jacketed CIP sets, control valves, heat exchanges, steam systems and ducts,condensate traps, pressure reducing sets, glycol, chemical, and process lines.
  • Excellent welding and fabrication skills, as well as knowledge of mechanical systems and processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team and have a high level of attention to detail.
  • Must have experience within food and beverage industry or powder or liquid industries
