The ERFs reduce the reliance on landfill or the need to export waste abroad for treatment, whilst becoming a sustainable revenue generating business.We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Performance Project Engineer at our Peterborough ERF work within our Performance Management Group to further improve the performance of our fleet of ERFs. This is a full-time fixed term contract role for 12 months working 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday.The Performance Project Engineer Role:The objectives of the position will be to work in conjunction with the site teams and Performance Improvement Engineer (PIE) and Performance Improvement Manager (PIM) in managing all aspects regarding the close out of defects at Peterborough ERF. You will also be expected to be the point of contact for Viridor staff regarding defect close out and to drive Performance Improvement on the site.The Performance Project Engineer will review the repair proposals to ensure they deliver reliable, technical solutions to maintain high performance throughput, power generation and availability. The repair is to be consistent with an overriding priority for safety and environmental compliance.The key priority is to ensure that safety and environmental compliance are prioritised in the rectification of defects / improvement works. There will also be a requirement to monitor, advise, assist and direct members of the site to ensure that any defect rectification activities / improvement works that are undertaken during outages do not have an adverse effect on planned timelines. The role will also require an involvement in all departmental management meetings pertinent to defect rectification / improvement works and individual site meetings as necessary.Our ideal Performance Project Engineer (ERF) will have:
