Job Description

Our Peterborough client is looking to recruit an experienced HR Assistant on a part time basis working 3 days per week. Working closely with the CFO, you will provide a solid and efficient HR service, from the day to day HR support to employees, through to providing input to the Leadership Team.Main Purpose of Role:We are looking for a strong stand-alone HR Assistant who can enjoy the breadth and independence of the challenge, from strategy to the day to day support of line managers and employees.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provision of HR business leadership, aligning HR policies and procedures to the long-term needs of the business
  • Review and update HR policies and procedures, with a priority on the employee experience (starters and leavers processes, recruitment, training and development, performance, appraisal, internal communications…)
  • Full recruitment process from writing adverts, interviews, and onboarding
  • Manage and get the most out of the Company’s training and development budget and activity
  • Collating payroll information and submitting to the external payroll bureau
  • Taking responsibility for the Time and Attendance system
  • Provide support to managers on all ER issues, including disciplinary and grievance processes, and consultation on policy or procedure changes and updates
  • Become a trusted advisor to the CFO on all HR related issues
  • Skills & Experience required:
  • Ongoing development of effective and appropriate HR policies and procedures
  • Working with HR metrics to drive business and HR performance
  • Up to date working knowledge of UK employment legislation
  • Part qualified CIPD Member
  • Proven HR generalist with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Excellent IT skills, including MS Word and Excel
