Michael Page Manufacturing are working in partnership with a market leading materials business that are looking for a Operations Manager to join the team based in PeterboroughThe Operations Manager will be responsible for all of the Production process on site including production output, projects, maintenance and plant optimisation.Client DetailsMichael Page Manufacturing are working in partnership with a market leading materials business that are looking for a Operations Manager to join the team based in PeterboroughThe Operations Manager will be responsible for all of the Production process on site including production output, projects, maintenance and plant optimisation.This market leading materials manufacturing business based in Peterborough is offering a great opportunity to the right Operations Manager to support the next stages in the business growth and support the creation of a new facility!DescriptionThe Operations Manager will understand all machinery and processes on site and be the go to person to optimise plant efficiency. they will also be accountable for the delivery of a SQCDPI plan.Other responsibilities include:

  • Focused on plant optimisation and not just through put
  • Comfortable delivering to project time lines
  • Able to deliver a hands-on approach to the role with in a automated process environment
  • Able to measure, assess and deliver decisions based on data
  • Drive improvement programmes to cut waste
  • Lead a team of technical and non technical operators
  • Able deputise for site lead
    • ProfileThe successful applicant will be
  • Degree Qualified Engineer - Mechanical, Chemical, Metallurgical or Production/Process
  • IOSH/NEBOSH qualification would be advantageous
  • knowledge of maintenance systems would be advantageous
  • Highly capable of using Lean tools and techniques
  • Comfortable in an Industrial environment and working with numerous materials
  • Able to work and utilise process based systems
  • A data driven and methodical leader
  • A proven track record in managing teams
  • Is a clear and comfortable communicator
