Night Shift Team Leader - £14.18ph - YaxleyTaskmaster are currently recruiting for a Night Shift Team Leader for our client (food production-vegetables) based in Yaxley, Peterborough.Key responsibilities:Health & Safety: Reporting of near misses witnessed on site and encourage staff to do the same. Actively support the production manage with solutions and ideas on improving H&S. Completion of investigations around accidents and injuries.Operations: Ensure that the department runs with the agreed headcount, including agency ordered. Manage and monitor absence within the department. You are responsible for ensuring that all employees clock in and out. Ensure that all new employees and all new agency workers have had induction. At the start of each production shift, ensure that all relevant line pre-start checks havebeen carried out and signed off. Ensure that members of your team arrive at work with ample time to complete the linepre-start checks. Ensure that all pre-start checks are adequately filed and accessible. Ensure that line performance records are completed and up to date at all times and thatall production KPIs are recorded accurately. To drive line efficiencies and to achieve and challenge / exceed performance targets. To successfully achieve all Key Performance Indicators and be prepared to report on allKPIs at the daily operations meetings. Attend the daily operations meetings. Ensure for each production team all documentation is being filled in accurately and inaccordance with site Quality Procedures. Report to production manager on a regular and informal basis during each shift details of unplanned downtime and any other such problems which might impact on Customer Service and Production Performance. To take responsibility for stock control and stock rotation. Monitor waste and take a pro-active approach with your team in reducing raw materialwaste within the department. Regularly monitor what is going into the waste bins and work with the Intake QA team torecord hourly good in bad figures. Take responsibility for the storage of stock feed on site. To motivate and communicate clearly and effectively with your team. Ensure thatappropriate training is given and recognise where training is required. To take ownership of the housekeeping standards both inside and outside the departmentand ensure that all staff are following Good Manufacturing Values & Behaviours at all Encourage your team to report all engineering and maintenance issues at the earliest Assist and support the production manager in the development and implementation of arolling plan for continuously improving the manufacturing operation within the department,paying particular attention to Quality, Safety and Cost.Pay rate: £14.18 per hourHours of work: Tuesday to Friday 17.45pm to 5/6am (flexibility at peak times of overtime/extra days)Please apply for more details.Taskmaster Resources LTD is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
