Job Description

Position: Multi-skilled Maintenance EngineerLocation: Peterborough, CambridgeshireSalary: £40,000 - £45,000Shift: Rotating shift (06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00, 22:00-06:00)Interaction Engineering are seeking a versatile Maintenance Engineer dedicated to ensuring the seamless operation of our production lines in Shefford. The role demands a proactive and safety-conscious individual who thrives in a dynamic manufacturing environment.Your primary focus will be on reducing downtime, implementing preventative maintenance strategies, and contributing to continuous improvements.The Position:- Work closely with production teams to optimise efficiency and minimise downtime.- Follow planned maintenance schedules (PPM) and promptly respond to machinery breakdowns.- Implement improvement requests and preventative maintenance tasks to enhance overall performance.- Make recommendations for cost reduction, downtime minimisation, and improved health and safety.- Complete administrative duties related to pre and post maintenance tasks.- Participate in project work and undertake site and facilities maintenance activities.- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety management system, participating in audits when required.What we need from you- Well-rounded engineer with an electrical bias and apprentice trained.- Knowledge and experience in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.- Welding experience – Desirable, not essential- Computer literate, especially in MS Word and Excel.- Ability to work independently and unsupervised.- Experience in time-critical manufacturing environments.- Full UK driving license.Interaction Recruitment have specialist consultants across most industries within the UK, including but not limited to, Finance & IT, Technical & Engineering, Industrial, Commercial and Hospitality.
