Job Description

You know you are recruiting for a business who look after their employees when you are asked to replace a legal cashier who is retiring after 25 years’ service!This is an opportunity to take ownership of an entire back office function and implement your own mark on the office processes and accounting procedures, reporting directly to the managing director.With their current staff retention records, it is unlikely that there will be a chance to join this forward-thinking legal firm for a while once this position is filled, therefore if you are interested in learning more please apply for this role ASAP.Experience in an accounts team within the legal sectoris essential, please do not apply for this role if you do not have this.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting fee earners with the financial aspects of matters, including private client and conveyancing transactions.
  • Ownership of purchase and sales ledger
  • Creating process maps and workflow diagrams to document the processes involved within the legal accounts function.
  • Dealing with internal accounts queries regarding office expenses and client matters.
  • Liaising with clients over the phone and via email regarding payments and financial details of their matters.
