We have a great opportunity for a passionate individual to join us as a Learning Assistant at the Stanground Academy.The role:The ideal Learning Assistant will reinforce the excellent work of the teaching staff by supporting individuals or small groups both within and outside of the classroom environment as well as providing cover in the library when needed. You will be a professional role model to the pupils, with the confidence to challenge and the creativity to motivate. To be successful you must have:-excellent communication skills;-the ability to provide support that is second to none;-experience of working with young people or children;-first rate team working skills;-a professional approach and high personal standards. About us:The Stanground Academy, part of the Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT), is situated in Peterborough, one of the UK’s fastest growing cities, and is transforming the life chances of its pupils by ensuring that every child can succeed, despite the challenges they may face. The academy ensures that staff are highly motivated and committed to achieving the highest standards. The £23 million state-of-the-art building boasts facilities which are arguably some of the best in the county including fully-equipped specialist rooms, a dance studio, theatre and high tech ICT equipment.
