Job Description

IT Helpdesk Advisor Oundle £28,000 - £30,000 DOEAre you a passionate IT Helpdesk Advisor, looking for an exciting new roleCoulter Elite Resourcing are currently looking for a IT Helpdesk Advisor to work with one of our well-established and very successful clients based just outside of Peterborough working as part of their IT team.You will be logging IT queries and facilitating problem solving, which involves quite a bit of talking and then following up with them to make sure an issue has been resolved properly and in good time.You must understand the business process, have strong administrative skills, good communication skills as you will collate all the required information from staff and transpose into a ticket logging system, providing a fix wherever possible.Principle Responsibilities for the IT Help Desk Advisor :-

  • Logging of new customer tickets each day.
  • Logging requirements into the ticket management system to ensure the correct ticket management process is used.
  • Managing a busy workload of new tickets and existing.
  • Managing faults through their entire lifecycle from the first point of contact through to resolution, proactively keeping colleagues informed of progress.
  • Conducting thorough diagnostics with the end users to enable resolution.
  • Dealing with emails and calls from staff and must be able to engage with them technically and competently.
  • Providing an excellent customer service experience while acting in a professional and understanding manner when liaising with customers on the phone or via email.
Person specification:-
  • Demonstrable experience working in a helpdesk or technical support environment.
  • Ability to build professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to trouble shoot and do what it takes to resolve a problem.
  • Highly organised and able to work on your own initiative to complete the range of tasks required.
  • Understand the business process, with strong administrative skills.
  • Proven experience in object-oriented programming languages (C#, SQL, RDBMS) desirable.
  • You will have general understanding of networking as well as general IT infrastructure (hardware, databases, operating systems, local area networks etc.)
This is a full time permanent IT Helpdesk Advisor position, Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm, £28,000 to £30,000 depending on experience.
