We are delighted to be supporting a national charity on an exclusive basis to recruit an Interim Systems Accountant. Following the implementation of Business Central (BC) in November 2019 and a systems review over the past year, we are now looking foran interim systems accountant to join the team to support the business with the next steps of the system development. The primary responsibility of this role is to support all users in upskilling their knowledge, understanding and use of the new system. Inaddition to identify ways that the business can maximize the benefits from the new system and support with the next steps of its wider Finance transformation.The key responsibilities of this role are to take control and ownership of BC and act as the bridge between the Business Support Centre Finance team, the wider Finance community, and the IT team. Due to Covid the future phases of the Finance upgrade projectwere delayed, the business has now reached a point where they wish to restart the project, and this role will be pivotal in ensuring that the three phases listed below are successful.* Replacement for Powerplan (forecasting and budgeting system) in conjunction with changes to the finance data model. Review changes to integrating systems: Resourcelink, Officebase & Concur Expenses* Support the implementation of the Fixed Asset module & VAT reporting through Business Central.* Making data more accessible to Finance users ; this will involve increasing the options for data extraction and starting the process of capturing data based on the new BC format - this will also include data from the feeder systems.* Finance department point of contact for any BC related issues and acting as the internal technical lead and training staff as required.* Continue to review the systems and make recommendations for potential improvements and manage any improvements identified, while working towards full system functionality.* Work cross functionally to ensure all systems provide the right output for users. Review the performance and usability of all finance related systems, getting feedback from all stakeholders.* Test internal processes and procedures ensuring that these are appropriately documented* Represent Finance in the Solutions Design GroupTo apply for this role you will need to be a fully ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified accountant with:Experienced Systems Accountant with a good working knowledge of Business Central or NavVisionA self-starter able to work under pressure with conflicting priorities, manage workload and deliver to deadlines with a can-do attitude.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Considerable experience of using information systems, including accounting packages, spreadsheets, and statistical reporting tools. Advanced Excel and data manipulation skillsStrong attention to detail.Experience of updating, reviewing processes and procedures.
