Job DescriptionHousekeeping Team LeaderLocation: Fitzwilliam Hospital, PeterboroughHours: 37.5 hours per week, Full-timeSalary: Depending on experience + BenefitsSummary:Fitzwilliam Hospital is one of Cambridgeshires leadingindependent hospitals witha reputation for delivering high quality healthcare treatments and services since 1983. The hospital is situated in the quiet landscaped grounds of the Milton Estate in Peterboroughand has 54 singlebedroomsand 1 twin-bedded room, all with en suite facilities. The hospital provides services for both private and NHS patients.The role:We currently have a great opportunity for our Housekeeping Team Leader to join our team at Fitzwilliam Hospital, based in Peterborough.You will be a dynamic, self-motivated team leader of the hospital’s housekeeping team. You will have great communication and interpersonal skills and will be able to demonstrate a broad experience in the cleaning sector within a healthcare setting, hotelor similar environment. You will take an active part in the team completing rotas and staff records.You will be responsible for completing training and audits/inspections to ensure we meet and exceed expectations, to drive constant development and improvement.The Housekeeping Team Leader will oversee the cleaning standards of patient rooms, clinical and public areas throughout the hospital. You will supervise the day-day activities of the Housekeepers, whilst training and developing the team’s skills and knowledgeto ensure that high cleaning standards are met inline with the clinical expectations.Key duties:

  • Supervision, training and development of Housekeeping team
  • Staff rostering, induction and PDRs and absence management
  • Conduct training sessions with the housekeeping team to include COSHH, Isolation/MRSA cleaning, Equipment handling, Health & Safety
  • To undertake hospital cleanliness audits with department leads and implement any actions with the team
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Overseeing and ordering of supplies and equipment as required
