Health and Safety Assistant **Salary - 25K-34K** **Peterborough** **Monday - Friday** Interaction Recruitment is currently looking for a Health and Safety Manager based in Peterborough My client is looking for a self-motivated health and safety manager to actively progress the business in all aspects of Health & Safety to start immediately. The Role: -Providing health and safety meetings and training courses for employees -Writing internal health and safety SSOW. -Drawing-up safe operational practices and making necessary changes -Writing reports, bulletins and newsletters -Liaising with relevant authorities -carrying out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented; -carrying out risk assessments and considering how risks could be reduced; -Being up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employers industry; -preparing health and safety strategies and developing internal policy; -Advising on a range of specialist areas, e.g. fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery and occupational diseases. -Keeping up to date and ensuring compliance with current health and safety legislation Key Skills: -Leadership qualification, i.e. ILM or similar - Highly self-motivated - A NEBOSH qualification - Extensive knowledge of effective Health & Safety management strategies and best practice. - Excellent facilitation and presentation skills - Visionary with the ability to see the bigger picture If you are interested in this role please send over your CV to or call
