Job Description

Head of HR Fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced organisation with great scope to really make your mark. Our client is looking for a Head of HR to support their UK wide sites, advising on, interpreting, leading and communicating the strategic long-term peopleplan.This role does involve travel to Peterborough on a weekly basis, and national travel to sites on an ongoing basis. You will have a company car/car allowance and a generous salary and bonus!What the Head of HR will do:

  • Analyse HR metrics and Data, employee and SLT feedback, collate this information and translate into tangible actions and see through to implementation.
  • Translate and advise the people plan for the next 5 years, delivering HR projects to benefit and grow the employees and the overall organisation.
  • Lead the employee engagement projects to deliver excellent communication, staff retention, development, and people pipeline activities.
  • Key lead in Trade Union relationships and negotiations across a multisite organisation.
  • Project lead the L&D functions across the organisation, reviewing current capability, what is going to be required over the next 5 years and putting training/qualification/education provisors in place to deliver.
  • Oversee all HR projects, initiatives within the People plan to deliver both short term tactical HR and long term strategic HR requirements.
What we need in a Head of HR candidate:
  • CIPD Level 5 or 7/Equivalent HR experience or Degree.
  • Experience in managing multisite Trade Union relationships is essential.
  • Highly capable to assess information, data and metrics and create tangible actions from these reports.
  • Be able to stretch and vary your approach as required, being comfortable to walk into any situation and responsively create pathways and solutions.
  • Strategic and commercial thinking is essential for this role.
