Job Description

The Role & Key Responsibilities Job Title:Head of FinanceLocation: Peterborough, UK/Hybrid workingPermanent: 37.5 hours per weekAre you a commercially focused finance professional with experience of leading business performance, working as part of a leadership team and looking for a role where you can have impact on strategic decisions in a growing businessReporting to our Finance Director you will be a key member of the finance leadership team leading business performance activities. You will work with other finance leads across the AB Dairy division as part of a cross functional team with responsibilityfor circa £400m revenue and £9m EBIT. You will provide commercial and divisional leadership with accurate information for forecasting/budgeting processes and analysis of financial information to influence and support business decisions.AB Dairy are a newly formed division of AB Agri combining well established existing brands and technology while focusing on growth. In 2022/2023 we have grown by successful acquisitions and moving into our next financial year there is more M&A activity inthe pipeline offering exciting opportunities and new challenges/complexities.Some of our highlight role objectives:

  • Management and development of 1 direct report – FP&A Manager
  • Monitor business performance against budget, forecast for previous rear to understand robustness and financial actuals/forecasts
  • Acting as stand in Finance Director when required including to AB Agri and AB Dairy board
  • Supporting commercial teams with assessment, negotiations and contractual review with inclusion of M&A/due diligence
  • Supporting with targeting strategies, analysis and ways to optimise margin
  • Oversee technical aspects in areas such as FX and commodity hedging and counterparty risk management
To be successful were looking for the following knowledge, skills and experience:
  • Professional accounting qualification ideally ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
  • Strong business, commercial and financial acumen with proven experience of using analysis of data to support strategic decisions
  • Pervious experience of working with leadership teams ideally in growth-based businesses
