Job Description

Head of Cyber Security Location: Peterborough - Hybrid working available but must be able to get to Peterborough The OpportunityMy client, a leading financial services provider based in Peterborough are looking for an experienced Head of Cyber Security to join their expanding UK based security team. Within this role you will report directly to the IT Director, within a wider teamof 15. You will ideally be comfortable still working in a hands on, senior leadership role within the Cyber Security arena. This is an exciting time to join them as the look to move more legacy systems to the cloud (AWS,) and enhance their onshore SecurityOperations capability.Youll be:

  • Having Oversight and development of ISMS documentation (Policies, Standards, Processes and SOPs) for continuous improvement, quality, and completeness, ensuring relevance to business operation
  • Reviewing Threat intelligence and set direction/action plan to apply mitigations across IT security landscape
  • Identifying emerging Cyber Security risks and manage these and existing risks in line with organisation appetite
  • Ensuring effective operation and continuous improvement of IT Security Controls
  • Publishing Management Information to the Senior Leadership Team
  • Managing of internal and external stakeholders and participation in internal and external audits ensuring required information is provided with completeness and accuracy in a timely manner
  • Defining the Security team organisation structure for effective utilisation of manpower and plan staff skill development program and compliance training schedule
  • Ensuring the ISMS documentation (Policy, Security plan, Process and SOP) quality and completeness
  • Planning the staff skill development program and compliance training schedule
You should apply if you have:
  • 15+ Years of experience in various IT Infrastructure and application security disciplines. Managed the ISMS for medium or large organisation or project in last five years.
  • Experienced with SOC2 / ISO27001 IT controls environments. Extensive experience with ISO27001 Audits and Certification process.
  • Experience of managing Security Operation Centre, Third Party Security Assurance and Customer Security Assurance programs
  • Good knowledge of SDLC and Infrastructure security
  • Experienced with IT Security Risk management and Threat modelling
  • Experienced with governing the IT Security Organisation and ISMS program
  • Familiarity with the NIST framework
  • Degree in Engineering, Science or Computer Applications
  • Certified CISSP or CISM with any one of the CCSK or CSSLP or SSCP certification
  • Certified ISO27001 Implementer
