We are a market leading manufacturer in both resins and 3D printers making patented, award-winningproducts that lead us to hold 3 Queens Awards.We are looking for an experienced Head of Ceramics3d Printing to lead the development and commercialisation of our novel patented technology for Ceramic Additive Manufacture. This is a critical role for our company as it will design andlead the process by which we mass manufacture a variety of ceramics (starting with alumina) and thus enable the wider use of these vital materials. The wider use of industrial high-performance ceramics has significant benefits in reducing energy usage in theworld and enabling better products to be made.Responsibilities of our Head of Ceramics3d Printing include: Manage and carry out R&D work for the optimisation of Photocentrics ceramic 3D printing.Work in collaboration with our Chemistry team to develop new ceramic-filled photopolymer resins.Work in collaboration with our Engineering team to develop the latest technology in ceramic printing.Structure, carry out and manage experiments to deliver process improvement.Analyse data from sintering results to draw conclusions to optimise current process.Analyse material properties for their suitability for specific applications.Select and manage supplier base for sourcing ceramic raw materials and powders.Work with Head of R&D to define the development and commercialisation strategiesWork in close collaboration with Sales and Marketing teams to establish customers.Work with key customers to enable the widespread use of printed ceramics.Supervise researchers and technicians.Experience and skills required for our Head of Ceramics3d Printing: BSc, MSc (or PhD) in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Materials Engineering.3+ years experience in R&D within a commercial environment.Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams and delivering projects with tight deadlines.Familiarisation with ceramic processing, preferably previous experience in ceramic injection moulding or SLA 3D-printing.Knowledge of ceramic characterisation techniques.Knowledge of CAD and engineering drawings.Hands-on approach to problem solving.Previous project management experience.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Previous experience in customer-facing roles.If you would like to join our growing team and feel that you have the necessary skills and experience to become our Head of Ceramics3d Printing, please click apply now!
