Job Description

JTH Recruitment have another superb opportunity for a recent Graduate looking to join an innovative and successful company. This role is suitable for an ambitious Graduate that wants to be part of a dynamic team and receive first class training and ongoing development.It is an exciting and challenging opportunity to join the Purchasing Team in a rapidly growing business to help facilitate the constant new product development for their existing and new customers, as well as ensuring orders are placed for existing business in a timely manner.The fast-paced environment means that this role will develop constantly, with new challenges arising every day within a business which is organically growing.Role Objective

  • Learn the ins and outs’ of a Manufacturing based MRP system to ensure that components are ordered in time for the on-site Factory.
  • Process and Manage orders to ensure suppliers are delivering in the correct timeframe, with all cost and stockhold requirements being adhered to.
  • Assist with Sourcing new suppliers and components globally.
  • Find and develop new suppliers that fit within our approved criteria for supply, starting from initial Supplier Assessments right through to auditing before approval.
  • Prepare and circulate internal management reports.
  • Maintaining accuracy on system inputted data to allow the best visibility the planning and production departments.
  • Liaising with the NPD (New Product Development) Team during the development process of a new product range to ensure timely delivery to our customers.
    • Candidate Description
  • Excellent numerical skills : must be able to understand and advise on product costings.
  • Exceptional organisational ability
  • Must be able to communicate across all levels of the business, from factory floor to Senior Directors & externally with Suppliers and Freight companies.
  • Has commercial acumen and an understanding of business issues
  • Pivotal team player + has a collaborative approach
  • Ability to multi-task and work on multi-projects - skilled prioritiser
  • Deadline driven and motivated : self-starter : a can do’ attitude
  • Successful within a fast paced environment : responds well to pressure and change
  • Professional, adaptable and flexible
    • Qualifications
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of intellectual ability, likely through good academics of Degree calibre although other experience or test results may also demonstrate this. Able to demonstrate a high level of numeracy
  • Highly proficient in MS Office systems including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Full Driving Licence
    • This position is easily commutable from Stanground, Market Deeping, Stamford, Whittlesey, Orton, Werrington, Hampton, Grantham, Oundle Required skills
