Job Description

Our client is looking for an Installation Surveyor and Project Manager to oversee the customer journey from the initial enquiry through to the post job completion.Glazing Installation Surveyor & Project ManagerPeterborough, PE4 7AP£34, 000 to £40,000 per annum, dependent on experienceDriving Licence EssentialVehicle, Phone and Laptop ProvidedPlease Note: Applicants must be eligible to work in the UKOur client specialises in the installation of UPVC and aluminium windows, doors and facades as well as many other glass related products. Established in 1995, they have 26 years of experience in providing high quality glass and glazing, with a reputationfor exceptional service.They are looking for an Installation Surveyor & Project Manager to work as part of their installations team, based at their site at Papyrus Road, Peterborough, and working out in the field at customer sites.The job role is to manage the customer journey from the initial enquiry through to the post job completion, and involves:

  • Making appointments with customers to carry out the initial survey
  • Documenting surveys of works to enable the preparation of accurate quotations
  • Discussing and confirming details of the customer order
  • Producing the contract for the job and meeting with the customer to review the contract sold
  • Liaising with the installations administration support team
  • Brief Installers / Sub-contractors with work
  • Monitor progress on site and complete thorough quality inspections
  • Completing site audits, pre- and post-works
  • Working with the senior team to meet department targets and deadlines
  • To network and create new business opportunities
The client is looking for someone who has:
  • Previous experience in a fenestration surveying role, ideally with experience in conservatories
  • Holds a relevant qualification in surveying
  • A good understanding of relevant legislation
  • A full UK driving License
  • CSCS (or equivalent) and DBS
  • SSSTS or SMSTS Qualification
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills, equally comfortable in meeting with both domestic and trade customers.
  • High standards of work with the ability to work under pressure and to multitask
The standard hours of work are 7.30 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday, but the client will require some flexibility with working hours to meet the needs of their customers.The position is based at the clients Peterborough site at Papyrus Road, but you will be travelling to customer sites in the surrounding areas, therefore, you must hold a Full UK driving License to apply for this position.The salary offered for this position is £34,000 to £40,000 (depending on experience) plus a performance related bonus.
