Job Description

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a German speaking Credit Controller to join an international technology company that successfully operates in many countries across the world. Location of the jobHybrid role - Peterborough (UK) office + remote work: 2 x days a week Peterborough office, 3 x days a week remote Language requirements for the jobFluency in both German and English is essential. Fluency also in Dutch is a preference but not essentialCompany backgroundOur client is an international technology company with successful business operations in many countries across the world. Job responsibilities of the German speaking Credit ControllerAs Credit Controller, you will be part of their international finance team, managing debt recovery in European markets (Germany and the Benelux mostly) as well as other transactional and finance administrative duties as required. You role will typically include the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Contacting clients in Germany and the Netherlands (mostly from the agriculture industry) to collect payments and resolve queries
  • Producing weekly aged debt reports for distribution
  • Providing copy invoices to reps as and when required
  • Assist Assistant Accountant with raising invoices
  • Liaise with central finance to co-ordinate debt collection letters
  • Assist Finance Team with ad-hoc duties
  • Support clearing Finance inbox with queries from customers to lead to payment
  • Be the go-between with local language to engage with customers
The successful candidate background
  • German and English is essential. Fluency also in Dutch is a strong preference but not essential
  • Accounts receivable/Credit control experience is essential
  • Strong relationship skills
  • Experience of legal collection s requests
  • Be a good communicator
  • Excellent team player
  • Highly customer focused; good customer service skills
  • Effective organisational and planning skills, able to plan and prioritise own workload to meet deadlines
