Gap personnel is recruiting for a General Operatives to work in a window & door manufacturing unit in Peterborough.General Operative/Fabricator/Peterborough PE4 /Monday to Friday/Days only/ Overtime available/Pay rate £9.05 to £10.50 DOE/ Our client is a manufacturer and supplier of Aluminium/uPVC windows, doors and conservatories and now they are looking for new members of staff to join their team due to the expansion and growth of the business. As a General Operative your main duties will be manufacture and assembly of aluminium doors and windows with the unit.Other duties of the General Operative will include: Produce high quality items from technical drawings using variety of machines and tools. Cutting and shaping materials Work on variety of machines - such as saws, lathes, etc. Manual handling and lifting Use computer numerically controlled (CNC) equipment.Requirements: Previous experience working with similar machinery or tools desirable Ability to read and understand technical drawings preferred Previous experience of work with windows and door would be an advantageWhats in it for you Full time employment after probationary 12 weeks Salary depending on your previous experience Training and support Great work environment Monday to Friday Opportunity for a long term employment Opportunity for progression and higher hourly rate Working hours: Standard hours are 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 7.00am to 3.30pm (30 minute lunch break and 1x15 minute break) Pay rate depending on previous experience and starts from £9.05 Overtime of x1.5 of basic rate after 40 hours per week.
