Job Description

As a Fund Accountant in the Administrations Peterborough office, you will be responsible for the production of the half-yearly and annual report and accounts for all of the firms clients in accordance with accounting and regulatory requirements.Client DetailsMy client, who currently manage around 56 funds, is a family owned fully independent host Authorised Corporate Director (ACD) and Fund Administrator. They take their clients desired outcomes and specifically tailor their approach to their end-to-end management, ensuring that their clients funds long-term goals are realised.Description

  • Ensure that legal requirements, industry regulations, organisational policies and professional codes and all fully complied with.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders (Internal, Clients, Auditors, Depositary and Custodian, Investment Manager, typesetters).
  • Production of Fund performance and data sets for annual reviews, key documents and board reports.
  • Production, payment and filing of Corporation Tax and VAT returns to HMRC.
  • Preparation of financial statements from Trial balance.
  • Checking trial balance and independent assessment of entries posted.
  • Production of report and account proofs, circulation to all parties and resolution of queries, to production of final accounts and filing with the FCA.
  • Production of the Ongoing Charges figure (OCF), actual distribution figures for payment and tax voucher figures for TA, and AMC Fees and IM Fees.
  • Identification of a Funds reportable income and provide information to the Static Data team for processing.
  • Monthly and quarterly factsheet reporting.
  • Completion of Tax documentation in relation to Fund (CT600) and Custodian requests (W8ben).
Profile
  • Accountancy Qualification (AAT, ACA/ACCA) or QBE.
  • Previous experience within a fund accounting role, as well as a general understanding of investments gained within the Financial Service industry.
  • Numerate with strong analytical mindset.
  • Competent with ability to work to rigorous standards due to regulation checks.
  • Experience with SoRP, as well as exposure to FIS system beneficial.
  • Good communicator, with the confidence to liaise with a variety of stakeholders including Investment Managers, auditors and other team members.
  • Methodical and detail oriented mindset.
  • Team player.
