Job Description

I am delighted to be recruiting on behalf of one of our national clients based in Peterborough for a forklift truck operator / Admin assistant. to join their team on a temp ongoing basis.Hours - 8am - 5pm Monday - FridayHourly rate - £10.50 phJob purposeTo provide forklift capability to the warehouse in addition to general warehouse operative and customer service/ admin supportSummary of Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Provision of forklift facilities within the warehouse
  • Mainenance of forklift skills as required by statute and/or company
  • Complete all daily operator checks
  • Goods in function
  • Picking and packaging functions
  • Goods out function
  • Customer returns
  • Customer service / admin
  • Perpetual inventory counts
  • H&S within the warhouse environment
  • Assist and cover for all warehouse personnel
  • Ensure quality system management processes are followed
  • Any adhoc duties as and when required by the board
Requirements
  • Forklift truck certification
  • Valid FLT licence
  • Relevant experience of working in a manufacturing warehouse
  • Knowledge of barcode system / JDE
  • A logical and methodical approach to duties
  • To have a high level of interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
