Finance Manager (Shared Costs Team)Your role will be an essential part of the Peterborough Corporate and Commercial team, reporting directly into the Senior Finance Manager - Shared Costs.This is a varied role accounting for overhead costs across the business including Libel and CLO provisions. You will be required to produce monthly reports for non finance and finance stakeholders, identifying risks and opportunities and influencing decisions. You will work with stakeholders to prepare budget and forecasts for your business areas as well as assisting the Senior Finance Manager with ad-hoc reporting and analysis. You will also be responsible for the management and development of 2 direct reports, ensuring you have a full ownership of all areas. You will provide strategic direction, set objectives and provide feedback. Day to Day: Responsible for the budgeting and forecasting process for business areas, maintaining a rolling forecast and overview of performance. Ownership of presentations and narratives for budget and forecast.Identify risks and opportunities and make recommendations.Monitoring of the weekly results, reporting and submission of shared costs. Review of weekly and monthly P&L results and preparation of commentary for management & business stakeholders. Responsibility for balance sheet accounts and explanations.Quarterly narratives for Group and US submission. Liaison with colleagues to aid cross department collaboration Support and deputise for Senior Finance Manager where necessary What were looking for from you: You need to be qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent), with relevant PQE. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders. Proven ability to design clear and concise reporting formats for senior financial and non-financial audiences. To develop the role and realise process efficiency with a tenacity and willingness to challenge at all levels. Capable of flexibility and working with ambiguity. Experience in managing & developing a team would be advantageous although not essential as full training can be provided.TM1 knowledge would be an advantage.
