Job Description

Fibre SupervisorIs your expertise in FTTH/FTTP deploymentDo you want to join an exciting, forward thinking company that is expanding its presence within fibre networksIf so, we want to hear from you.Here at Comvergent Limited, we make networks work! We are currently recruiting for Fibre Supervisor to work across our FTTH/FTTP projects across Peterborough & Lincolnshire.What are we looking forThe successful applicant shall have at least three years experience working as a Fibre Supervisor or similar, with direct site experience, managing construction and cabling projects across an end-to-end lifecycle. You will be familiar with real-time reporting,submitting weekly reports, managing stock levels, ordering materials and submitting measures for payment. You will have experience of managing staff in a modern way, building teams and identifying training requirements.Responsibilities of Fibre Supervisor:

  • Planning works from survey, test rod and rope (TRR), network construction and cabling.
  • Liaising with local councils relating to noticing/permitting applications.
  • Planning works alongside our sub-contractors to ensure construction and engineering works do not overrun.
  • Managing teams of box builders, cablers and splicers, admin, NRSWA co-ordinators, Quantity Surveyors, amongst others.
  • Ensuring as-built information is collated and is in line with the clients requirements.
  • Ensure weekly walk offs are done with the sub-contractor to identify accurate measures for payment.
Qualifications:
  • SMSTS, SSSTS, CIOB Level 4 Certificate or CSCS black card.
  • NRSWA full Supervisor card is essential. Previous holders of this card will be considered.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office is essential.
