Job Description

Facilities Management Supervisor - Peterborough - Attractive packageALH Recruitment are looking to recruit a Facilities Management Supervisor with immediate effect, for our industry leading client based in Peterborough.Facilities Management Supervisor:Responsible FM contact for Area

  • Build good working relationships with maintenance operatives and site team with your area
  • Familiarise yourself with the sites
Supervise the FM Co-ordinators
  • Ensure they are correctly prioritising and organising their work
  • Work with them to improve their FM knowledge and processes.
  • Continual communication with maintenance and contractors to ensure works are to be completed by target time.
  • Reactive Repairs
  • Process/determine resolution for all reactive queries
  • Identify works to be completed and who to complete; internal maintenance or contractor
  • Allocate works to internal maintenance or gain quotes from contractors and subsequent approvals
  • Continual communication with maintenance and contractors to ensure works are to be completed by target time.
Procurement
  • Sourcing of new contractors to provide services
  • Ensure that Pre Qualifying Questionnaire (PQQ) is completed and provide to FM Director and H&S Manager for review
Health & Safety
  • Make sure that all of compliance documentation provided by maintenance is clear and legible before logging on system
  • Complete/process all outstanding Health & Safety actions for area of responsibility

Skills / Experience
  • Have a good understanding of the FM industry, including knowledge of materials, trades, methods and legal requirements
  • Ability to work without supervision as well as part of a team
  • Willingness and aptitude to be trained in any skills gap & positive approach to learning in role
  • Self-motivated and flexible approach to role
  • Have good spoken and written communication skills
  • Be able to establish an appropriate working relationship with the contractors staff
  • Be persuasive and diplomatic while remaining independent
  • Set an example by acting in a professional manner at all times including wearing personal protective equipment when on site.
