We are currently seeking an Expeditor to progress orders through the business, our client requires someone ideally with a Mechanical background that has worked in a similar position.Purpose/Mission: To facilitate the flow of materials through the business, ensuring the Production Schedule is met keeping to tight deadlines and all products are produced in a timely and efficient manner. To improve and simplify methods of working, procedures and systems to minimise the impact to the business. To monitor and review suppliers ensuring competitive prices, quality and delivery schedules are maintained at all time.Responsibilities:Responsible for the workflow of the department ensuring the Production Schedule is met and adhered to.To communicate to the relevant departments within the business of any delays to orders as soon as they are recognised, andto identify and rectify issues causing delays to the Production Schedule.To ensure the production and distribution of accurate purchase orders and schedules to suppliers to enable production plans, stock and customer requirements to be met for all components.Professional Background:A minimum of 3 years? experience in a Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing environment.Previous experience in a Planning or Expediting role.Experience within a machine shop and/or plating/welding or steel fabrication workshop would be beneficial.Skills:The ability to read manufacturing drawings and understand dimensions and tolerances.Experience with quality requirements including ISO 9001.Works well under pressure and to tight deadlines while demonstrating exceptional organizational and planning skills.The ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business.Problem solving and the ability to multitask.Excellent communicator and team player.The ability to work in a team and autonomously.The ability to work in a fast paced and high-pressured environment.This positiWe are currently seeking an Expeditor to progress orders through the business, our client requires someone ideally with a Mechanical background that has worked in a similar position.Purpose/Mission: To facilitate the flow of materials through the business, ensuring the Production Schedule is met keeping to tight deadlines and all products are produced in a timely and efficient manner.
