Job Description

Events/Reception/Facilities Meyer Scott Ref: VR/08467Hourly Rate of Pay: £12.00 per hourLocation: Office based.Length of Booking: 3 monthHours: 4 days a week (32 hours+). Monday, Wednesday & Thursdays mandatory, plus another day.This role is situated within the Marketing Team of Whirlpool. You will be working within their large showroom where they showcase their product range. You will very much act as host visitors who come from overseas (high level Co. Executives), and Partnerssuch as John Lewis, AO, independent retailers.The showroom is open Monday, Wednesday & Thursday however visitors are often invited to the facility on another day which is why is it is key that you are able to be flexible with regards to the 4 days a week.This is a pivotal role with the showroom. The right candidate will be smart, well spoken & presentable, IT literate (they use Google), and able to immerse themselves in the workings of the showroom ensuring its an impressive experience for all commercialvisitors and those who work there.Responsibilities

  • Develop a full working knowledge of the facility
  • Work with facilities and IT departments to ensure the facility is well always presented and fully operational
  • Work alongside our Events Services Manager to manage and inventory WOW showroom stock
  • WOW diary management
  • Management of WOW event briefs with relevant stakeholders
  • Manage Marketing & Commercial Travel & Hotel Bookings
  • Meeting and greeting Customers
  • Notify security of names of visitors and parking spaces
  • Fire Marshall responsibility for visitors
  • Making refreshments on arrival
  • Laying out the lunch & tea & coffee throughout the day
  • Support Cooking School events when booked.
  • Clearing away after meetings
  • Ordering lunch and refreshments
  • Replenishment, ordering and shopping for supplies, (inc. Cook School).
  • Identifying continuous improvements to the experience for our trade partners
  • Proposing ways of extending usage for the facility.
  • Support The Brand Experience Manager on External Meetings, Conferences & Events
Experience required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent Customer service skills
  • Flexible attitude to working hours
  • Second to none time management and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of Google Workspace & Microsoft PowerPoint is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience of building and maintaining cross functional relationships.
  • Relevant product knowledge and passion for the industry.

Hours: 8.30am - 5pm. 4 days a week (32 hours+). Monday, Wednesday & Thursdays are mandatory, plus another day. Flexibility is key in this respect.
