Our manufacturing client seeks an Engine Component Design Engineer.This contract role will be working in Peterborough. The Electronics team is responsible for electronic and electrical systems development across engine and machine platforms. The Electronics systems help to maximise the customer value and efficiency of end products, whilst minimising owning and operating costs.Projects offer the opportunity to work on the latest rotating electrics, supporting the development of engines designed to meet the latest emissions legislation, with world-class levels of quality and reliability.Skills required for Engine Component Design Engineer*Strong technical background a good technical degree in mechanical, electronic, electrical, control systems or automotive engineering*Prior experience in engine component design and development, preferably gained on starters, alternators or starting and charging systems*Good understanding of component development and validation*Computer Aided Design (CAD)*Running and participating in FMEA*Designing and executing verification and validation test plans for rotating electric components.*Writing technical document / requirements / test plans*Starting and charging systems in on or off-road applicationsThe main function of an engine component design engineer is to research and investigate the design, functionality and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes. A typical research engineer can make engineering drawings and read andinterpret blueprints.Our manufacturing client seeks an Engine Component Design Engineer.This contract role will be working in Peterborough.
