Job Description

Embedded Software EngineerRecruit Mint have partnered with a leading manufacturer in the communications space based in Peterborough and they have an opportunity for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join the team.You will be a fundamental part of the Software Development Team who design and develop air traffic control communications solutions typically exporting to 80 countries a year.Job Role

  • Design and development of embedded software to meet project requirements
  • Architectural and detailed design
  • Software modelling and simulation
  • Software code development
  • Unit test and debug
  • Integration and test
  • Test plan development and execution
  • Test report writing
  • Technical documentation
Person SpecificationEssential
  • C/C++ programming languages
  • Experience in embedded software design and implementation
Desirable
  • Understanding of network technologies
  • Python experience
  • Digital Signal Processing techniques
  • Software development in a Windows or Linux environment
  • Knowledge of adjacent disciplines e.g. electronic design, FPGA
  • Experience of the full product development lifecycle
  • Understanding of using Continuous Integration tools e.g. Jenkins/Hudson
  • Understanding of communications modulation techniques
Hours of Work, Pay, and Benefits
  • Up to £50,000
  • This role will be on-site full-time for the first 6 months
