Electrical Qualifying Supervisor - Commercial and Industrial projects - based in PeterboroughA highly respected Building Services contractor has an exciting new vacancy for an Electrical Qualifying Supervisor to be based from office on Peterborough, Cambridgeshire working on commercial and industrial sites in Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas.This is a great opportunity for the right candidate who can demonstrate expertise in providing technical support on a range of installation projects. You will liaise with clients and department managers about projects and standards of work regarding directlyemployed staff and sub-contractors. The Electrical Supervisor / Electrical Qualifying Supervisor will act as one of the accredited and nominated persons to represent the company to ensure the results of inspection and testing are recorded correctly on the appropriate certificates and reportsand to British NICEIC standards. As the Electrical Supervisor / Electrical Qualifying Supervisor, you will be required to:· Ensure all Electricians either directly employed or sub-contractors are working to a high standard and to set regulations.· Inspection of work and reporting findings back to Line Manager.· Educate the electrical team with regulation updates, toolbox talks and best practices.· Supervising and training site team and Apprentices.· Supporting with yearly NICEIC Inspection.· Responsible for the quality control and approval of test sheets and all aspects associated with NICEIC. Successful applicants will have the following qualifications and experience:· 18th Edition, IET Wiring Regulations BS 7671.· C&G 2391 or equivalent.· NVQ Level 3 in Electrical including AM2 or equivalent.· An extensive understanding of the Electricity at Work Regulations, current edition of BS 7671 and the Codes of Practice and guidance documents relevant to the range of electrical work undertaken.· Understand the Inspection, testing, verification, certification and reporting procedures for the range of electrical work undertaken.· Knowledge of all electrical systems in domestic, commercial, and industrial settings.· Proven experience of undertaking quality control inspections.· Understanding the contract design and construction drawings.
