Job Description

Electrical Engineer (Days - Mon-Fri)Location: Cambridgeshire + travelSalary: £38,000 + overtime + Company vehicle + benefitsOur client is a business that strives to help their clients to understand and manage their environmental risks. As a result of their continued growth and success they are now looking for an Electrical Engineer who will carry out a wide range of electricalduties ranging from service and response & breakdown works through to new build installations which will be mostly in the commercial & industrial sectors with a more specific focus into hazardous areas which will also result in working & staying away as required.The role:

  • To work across the region undertaking new electrical installation works.
  • To carry out a selection of minor civil/construction duties such as clearing cable routes, making holes in walls to enable you to carry out your electrical installation works.
  • To test newly installed circuits/cabling and recording of results.
  • To complete test certification efficiently and submit for approval from the qualifying manager.
  • To assist other Engineers as and when required, occasionally travelling to other regions to support colleagues and clients
  • To be responsible for ensuring all equipment checks are undertaken prior to commencing any works.
  • To ensure all uplifting and offloading of materials is undertaken in the correct and compliant manner with high regard for health and safety and correct working practices.
  • To be responsible for ensuring the security of all Company equipment.
  • To ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health and safety to include provided RAMS documentation.
  • To take responsibility for identifying what repair work is required.
  • To liaise with customers on site to discuss on-going works and further services of the Company.
  • To complete all paperwork/administration and submit in a timely manner to divisional staff.
  • Liaison with Line manager / office staff regarding all works and recommending improvements of possible opportunities.
The person:
  • C&G 2330 or equivalent + NVQ3/AM2 + Test & Inspection qualification.
  • A strong communicator, able to represent the company on customer sites
  • Previous knowledge and experience of completing RAMS documentation.
  • Willingness to undertake any additional training to increase capability of the division in supplying a service to customers.
  • Full UK driving licence.
