Job Description

Digital AssistantCirca £20,000 p.a.Hybrid home working and office working based at an RHS site. Weekly travel to Peterborough office required35 hours per week, Monday to FridayWe have a brilliant entry-level opportunity for someone who wants to take a first step into the world of digital editing with the RHS, the UKs leading gardening charity. We are looking to recruit a flexible Digital Assistant to join the RHS Editorial Teamand report into the Digital Content Manager. You will have plenty of initiative and enthusiasm, an interest in gardening, and the desire to work on a website with 30 million unique users per year. You will be excited by the idea of supporting a team of busyweb content editors, and by the broadness of the role: on any given day you could be covering our Shows, Gardens, Communities and Science. You will know what makes an attractive and accessible web page, and how to write SEO-friendly copy. Most of all, youwill be eager to learn. This is the first rung of an exciting ladder.Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting a team of Web Content Editors with their areas of responsibility. This will include working with both images and copy.
  • Supporting the Digital Content Manager with the day-to-day admin requirements of the Web Editorial team.
  • Displaying strong communication skills throughout the RHS Editorial Department, and throughout the RHS as a whole.
