It is an exciting time to join our client with significant investment and clear ambitions driving the company forward.The RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join our enthusiastic and growing Continuous Improvement team. As a member of this team, you will be key in delivering fast access to relevant and accurate information to all business users toenable the company to deliver its vision for continuously-improving, world-class manufacturing facilities.Main responsibilities:

  • Improvement project implementation including:
    • project definition
    • development of system architecture
    • project approval through justification of the expected benefits
    • hardware provision & software developmentcoding, testing, etc
    • production of user guide & technical documentation
    • delivery of appropriate training and technical support to end users
    • user acceptance testing
    • final sign off and handover to the end user
    • project management for the entire duration of the project (including progress tracking using a master schedule)
  • Data analysis & problem solving support to other areas of the business through timely provision of thought-provoking data to:
    • resolve current operational issues and challenges with equipment, processes and people
    • support new product introduction and technology development projects
    • fix the root cause of the problem
  • Initiate and implement changes that improve our production processes using lean and six sigma techniques
The PersonTechnical Skills
  • Graduate level education or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of the following:
    • SQL (essential)
    • Python (or other general-purpose programming languages, essential)
    • Database design experience (desirable)
    • MS Excel VBA (desirable)
  • Inquisitive with a strong problem-solving ability (eg RCA, DoE, etc)
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and/or LeanManufacturingmethodologies
  • Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing operations in a semi-continuous batch environment
Personal Skills
  • Able to communicate, engage and motivate all levels of an organisation (internally and externally)
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, ability to sell ideas
  • Capable of gaining credibility and trust quickly
  • Pro-active and able to act on own initiative
  • Able to constructively challenge existing habits, behaviours and thinking to change the culture
