Job Description

The Role & Key Responsibilities Job Title:Data Analyst (BI / Reporting Specialist)Location:Peterborough / HybridDo you have strong Data Analysis skills Do you have the ability to take user requirements and turn them into a powerful story through reports and visuals Do you enjoy working with business intelligenceDue to continued growth and success we are recruiting a Data Analyst to work within our Global Technology Services team. The Data Analyst will design, build, and deploy business intelligence reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI / Infor Birst.What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for report design and documentation.
  • Using tools such as Microsoft Azure, SQL data warehouse, visualisation Tools like Power BI / Birst.
  • Develop data models that are compatible with data warehouse standards and have dimensional modelling experience.
  • Developing, publishing and scheduling reports per business requirements using BI tools and platforms.
  • Understand the business requirements and develop data models accordingly by taking care of the resources.
  • Undertake data analyses to support decision making
  • Develop reports, dashboards and deploy these to the corporate platform
  • Develop user manual/training documentation
What you will bring:
  • Strong data analysis experience
  • The ability to take user requirements, understand them and turn them into a powerful story told through engaging reports & visuals.
  • Confidentincommunicating with stakeholders of all levels, including advising, training, and supportingstaff and clients where necessary.
  • Experience with the Azure Cloud platform
  • Strong SQL and Data Warehousing knowledge and understanding
  • Ability to work with complex data sets in a multi-sector environment.
  • Experience with Data Integration.
  • Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools.
  • Experienced in data querying using SQL on different platforms, such as using SQL withintools likeSSMS.
  • A high level of proficiency in Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) with demonstrable capabilities in this area.
As a Data Analysis you will also:
  • Develop an understanding of customer and competitor dynamics, leveraging the full breadth of data sources and analytic resources
  • Work with stakeholders to define success metrics and benchmarking through analysis.
  • Analyse the outcomes of tests of changes to user experience to increase revenue
