Job Description

Salary: £22,890 (inclusive of £2,500 shift allowance) based on 37.5 hoursLocation: Pegasus House, Bakewell Road, Peterborough PE2 6YSFull/Part-time shift options are available within our opening hours 8 am-10 pm Monday-Friday; 8 am-6 pm Saturday & 9 am-5 pm on Sunday.This role will be a hybrid split between working on-site and from homeFor the first three months, successful candidates will be working on-site, to support the skills you have developed within induction training.Working for BGLi Customer Services:BGL insurance is part of the Markerstudy Group and provides a range of motor, home, and life insurance products to three million customers in the UK. What will I do as a Customer Service Advisor

  • Take inbound calls from potential and existing customers, dealing with a car, van, and home insurance queries.
  • Maintain high standards for our own and partnership brands
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to every customer first time, every time
  • Take responsibility for our customers and provide resolutions
  • Take ownership of your development within BGLi
  • Be determined to succeed and accountable for results, for yourself and the business
  • Act with drive, pace, and passion
  • Follow the system and procedural processes to ensure compliance with the FCA
What does it take to be a Customer Service AdvisorIt doesnt matter if youve never worked in a contact centre or within an insurance environment before, we will provide you with a comprehensive training programme, all we ask is for the following
  • Ideally six months of experience working within a customer service environment, this could be from a variety of backgrounds including retail, contact centre and hospitality (face to face, by phone or in written form)
  • A proven track record of delivering excellent customer service
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrate responsibility for customer concerns and resolution
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Proven record for setting own goals and monitoring own performance
