Job Description

R13 Recruitment are working alongside a national charity in order to recruit a Criminal Justice Support Worker to join their team in Peterborough. You will be responsible for managing and supporting a caseload of participants to overcome barriers, reintegrateback into society and prevent reoffending. This role will suit an engaging, empathetic and motivated individual with previous experience supporting vulnerable individuals rebuild their lives.This is a full time, permanent role working 9:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday.   • Managing, supporting and guiding a caseload of participants to overcome barriers to social inclusion and develop enhanced skillsets.
  • Undertaking assessments, identifying participant needs and requirements, and producing a tailored action plan.
  • Promoting engagement in appropriate services and encouraging positive behaviours.
  • Utilising motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioural techniques and brief interventions in one-to-one meetings, group interventions and progress reviews.
  • Liaising with agencies to coordinate appropriate pre and post release activities.
You will have/be
  • Proven experience working with individuals with complex needs in overcoming barriers and working towards goals.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage and motivate.
  • Understanding of and a positive attitude towards participants.
  • Solid organisation and time management skills.
  • A proactive, solution-focused and innovative approach.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft applications.
  • A track record of working towards targets and KPIs.
