Futures requires a Control Engineer with PLC programming experience to join a rapidly expanding bespoke machinery manufacturing company.Our client develops using a variety of PLCs such as TIA Portal/ S7 or RS Logix 5000 (experience in at least one of these is required) on award winning bespoke machinery, that they design and manufacturer on site. Our client operate at a high standard and are willing to take on junior Controls/Systems/Software/Automation Engineers on board to provide them with highly sought after training and development.TIA Portal/ S7/ Step 7/ RS Logix 5000/ Totally Integrated Automationwhat the role will consist of for the Control/System/Software/Automation Engineer:* To develop and produce PLC and HMI software for a variety of platforms with minimal assistance.* To design, specify and issue electrical hardware parts lists and control panels according to contract specifications.* To help research and develop new products when required.* To provide technical and commissioning support to Installation & Commissioning/Customer Services in the office and on site.* To be able to understand, interpret and produce Electrical Designs (not 100% necessary if you tick the other boxes).TIA Portal/ S7/ Step 7/ RS Logix 5000/ Totally Integrated AutomationWhat the Control/System/Software/Automation Engineer will have:* Experience of installing and commissioning process equipment and a knowledge of programming and fault finding on PLC systems is desirable, although on-site training will be provided.* Ability to develop and produce software to functional specifications.* Able to work away from home base for extended periods of time, within the UK and overseas.* Knowledge of existing product range could be an advantage.* Ideally, qualified to an Engineering degree or BTEC Higher Certificate in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.If you think you will be a good fit for this role, please dont hesitate to APPLY!
