Job Description

The ONE Group are delighted to once again be partnering with a global manufacturing giant to recruit a Commercial Finance Manager for their Peterborough site. This organisation are the leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment and have profitsin the billions. Having had previous success with them historically, they have a proven positive culture and a progressive environment that sees people become longstanding and sometimes life workers for them.The role of Commercial Finance Manager is a huge role for them and is plays a great part in supporting other business units with analytical information in the form of reports and dashboards. From pricing, sales and margin analysis, P&L ownership right throughto various reporting and PowerBI usage. Youll manage a small team that will support you with looking after each area, but it will be you that works with executive level leadership to provide that strategic insight.Further Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Line management of a small team
  • Responsibility the financial planning and analysis of sales and price realisation
  • Be the owner of the sale & margin process for this part of the business
  • Analysis and executive review of monthly sales and operations planning figures
  • Conduct pricing analysis and studies to ensure that sales are financially viable for both one of sales and longer-term agreements
  • Deal and margin analysis
  • Support quarterly legal and governmental sales reporting
  • Provide forecasts and actuals to Sales Directors
  • Support on ad hoc projects that help the business grow and develop
What We are After
  • A qualified accountant
  • Strong track record of stakeholder management with both financial and non financial stakeholders
  • Previous experience managing a team, or at least in a supervisory position
  • Analytical/technical mindset or experience, with technical financial accounting elements
  • Ideally have experience with data tools such as Tableau, Alteryx or PowerBI
  • Ideally experience in a manufacturing or operational environment
