Job Description

Carpenter Location: Positions available in Peterborough, Huntingdon, Cambridge and Bury St EdmundsSalary: £27K per annumContract: Full time, PermanentGov Facility Services Ltd (GFSL) are seeking a fully qualified carpenter for the below sites in the East of England region: HMP Highpoint, HMP Littlehey.GFSL is a Ministry of Justice owned non -profit making company who supply facilities management services to c50 prisons over the South of the UK. Most of the works we undertake are within controlled areas and support the safe operation of the prisons. Having formed in February 2018, GFSL has prospered in supplying quality services to all of its establishments.   • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Experience of taking instructions and following processes and procedures
  • Experience of working in a team
  • Experience of working under pressure to tight deadlines
    • As a successful candidate you?ll be able to demonstrate that you have the following qualifications and skills:
  • City & Guilds, National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 3 in Carpentry or an equivalent
  • Substantiated experience in a similar role can be considered as an alternative to formal qualification
  • Must be able to display competency in the use and operation of all associated power tools and machinery
