Job Description

Adecco are looking for an experienced Buyer to join an innovative design and manufacturing company in Peterborough. This role is suitable for a forward-thinking individual with the initiative and experience to manage and develop the companys procurementand supply chain departments.Our client is a well-reputable and expanding global company. As a Buyer you will be responsible for identifying global cost saving opportunities and some of your main responsibilities will include:

  • Adopting a targeted based approach based on the business needs at any one time and improving the flow, buying and negotiating power within the purchasing department
  • Taking responsibility for building a sound supply chain foundation that will facilitate sales, business growth, protection, and retention, whilst also constantly monitoring, controlling, and tracking cost savings to the business
  • To assist with the coordination and day to day management of the selection process for new products and/or suppliers
  • Build and manage supplier relationships
  • Alongside other managers, establish a procurement budget that is in line with the sales budget, to ensure sales are maximised whilst minimising stock holding
