Job Description

Safeguarding Administration SupportFixed Term Contract 12monthsFull Time37 hours per weekFrom £19,000Serco works in a strategic partnership with Peterborough City Council in the heart of the city, to transform the quality of local services for our citizens. We currently have an opportunity to join our team as a Business Support Assistant in the Child Safeguarding Service supporting the distribution of Child Protection documents.ReportingintotheTeam Manageryouwill beresponsible formonitoring and distributing Child Protection Plans and Minutes within a statutory framework to the Child Safeguarding and Quality Assurance team, ensuring the efficient and effective operation ofthe service.Child Protection work, by its nature, is very demanding, so previous experience working in the Police, Public Health, Child Safeguarding arena or an interest in this area would be beneficial. Full training will be provided to the successful candidate.Main Responsibilities / Skills

  • Processing/Distributing Child Protection Plans & Child Protection Minutesto statutory deadlines
  • Responding to queries and requests via email, telephone
  • Monitoring, populatingand maintaining data base information
  • Accurate transfer of data
  • Good organisational skills, working both individually and as part of a team in high detail to ensure total accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skillsyou will be working with a wide and diverse range of people such a Senior Management, clients, key contactsand members of the public, this will include support in resolving queries.
  • Ability to prioritise and work to tight timescales
  • Adhoc administrative tasks including but not limited to data collation, data entry, dissemination of information, typing.
What you will needYou will be able to work effectively within a dedicated team environment, be customer focused and able to deliver the role with a flexible approach.Ideally you will have a background working in Administration, have IT skills including data input, word processing and the ability to use standard Microsoft applications.
