Job Description

About the roleThe main purpose of the Background Screening Analyst is to provide a professional pre-employment screening administration service to a wide client base in a proactive and timely manner that meets agreed timescales and Service Level Agreements. Youll useinitiative when required to improve the overall customer experience and work with key contacts in the delivery of specific projects on behalf of clients. Working as part of a team, youll provide excellent customer service and be the first point of contactfor clients, candidates and referees for pre-employment screening related queries.Key responsibilities include:

  • Complete pre-employment screening checks on behalf of clients in line with individual client policies, special requirements, departmental SLAs and processes to ensure each client and candidate receives an excellent customer experience.
  • Answer inbound calls from clients, candidates and referees, providing excellent customer service at all times and ensuring all queries are fulfilled in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Understand the different types of checks offered by the Background Checking function, becoming competent in processing these checks in line with company process (these checks include Financial, ID Checking, Employment, FSA, CRC, PVG, Academic, Directorship,Sanctions CIFAS and Driving License checks).
  • Keep informed of any legislative changes.
  • Ownership of all work actioned to ensure that Right First Time target is achieved, the work pools are worked correctly, mange own workload / allocated clients, and ensure client deadlines are achieved to prevent client raising waivers for new starters.
  • Ownership of personal development and performance.
  • Build up extensive system knowledge and multi-task to cope with high volume / pressure environment - providing guidance and support to offshore team to resolve any issues.
  • Quality check offshore work, feeding back any corrections and complete the final sign off process; identify and highlight any repeat issues or concerns to Team Leader.
  • Develop and maintain good working relations with all clients, candidates, stakeholders, 3rd party suppliers and peers, ensuring confidentiality and sensitivity at all times.
  • Identifies to the Team Leader disruptions to service level agreements, system improvements and where possible make suggestions of corrective action.
  • Ensure all systems are up to date, factual and accurate for each candidate worked on and the necessary processes followed to ensure correct workflow.
  • Ensure the correct supporting documentation has been supplied in accordance with government and legislative guidelines.
Skills and experience required
  • Experience working in fast-paced administration environments.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Very well organised.
  • Fully proficient using Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent atmulti-tasking and prioritising.
  • A great team player.
  • Ability to handle large capacities of data.
