A British manufacturer of cat and dog food, specialising in delivering consistent and high-quality dry per food for 40 years is looking for an Assistant Shift Manager in Boston, Lincolnshire. Renowned for excellent service, their modern and purpose-built site meets the high standards of certification required by the British Retail Consortium Global Standard for food and FEDIAF (the European pet food federation code of practice). As an Assistant Shift Manager working in Boston, Lincolnshire, your responsibilities will include:- Assisting the Shift Manager in terms of Health and Safety/Food Safety.- Shift operation, productivity and labour utilisation.- Process control.- Ensuring all technical standards are met.- Striving for manufacturing excellence through people.- Plant and process maintenance.- Customer satisfaction and service.- Effectively managing waste.- Meeting agreed objectives.We are looking for an Assistant Shift Manager who has the following skills and experiences:- Previous experience working in a busy manufacturing environment.- Experience working on both day and night shifts.- Experience in managing staff.- Strong communication skills.- Experience and knowledge of Health and Safety.- Strong computer knowledge.You will be working in Boston, Lincolnshire an average of 42 hours per week, 4 days, 07:00-19:00, 4 days rest, 4 days, 19:00-07:00, 4 days rest. Overtime is often available at £14 per hour.In return, as the Assistant Shift Manager you will receive a salary of £26,000 per annum along with a pension scheme and paid holiday.
