Job Description

Applications Engineer - Stafford or Peterborough (Hybrid) - Up to £32/hr - Inside IR35Jonathan Lee Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and collaborative Applications Engineer to joinone of the world’s leading manufacturers of off-highway machinery and diesel and natural gas engines.This 12 month initial contract roleis hybrid working and can be based in Stafford or Peterborough.The Applications Engineering team are the primary technical interface with 3rd party customers and are responsible for product integration into customers machines, from engine selection, validation through to production.In your first few weeks in this Applications Engineer role, you can expect to:

  • Own customer technical relationship from project concept to delivery, supporting sales, acting as customer trusted advisor
  • Develop the technical expertise and A&I capabilities of the Dealers and Distributors to give a world-class service supporting technical queries
  • Work with the team and customers to select the best technical engine solutions to meet customers project goals for quality, time and cost
  • Advise how to improve machine efficiency and performance through ideal engine selection, knowledge of customers machines, rapid response to issues and requests for new designs
To apply for this Applications Engineer role, you will need a technical background - ideally educated to degree level or experience in lieu of. You will also require the following:
  • Knowledge of diesel engine application
  • Previous customer or supplier facing experience would be beneficial
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate at all organisational levels, across multiple cultures
  • Engine and/or machine integration knowledge and experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, Visio, Teamcenter, CANape and CANalyzer
Youll receive a contract per hour rate of £32.00 in return for your knowledge, expertise and flexibility.
