Job Description

Job title: Temporary Accommodation WardenSalary:£10.00 an hourJob Type:Temporary to PermanentHours of Duty: Weekend work

  • 4 days on 4 days off
  • 09:0018:00 (If working on Weekdays)
  • 10:00-18:00 (If working on Saturdays and Sundays)
My client is looking for a Warden to join their team on daysThe successful warden will have a good understanding of and be sensitive to the challenges that may affect guests. You will be a good communicator, able to build positive relationships with guests and provide help and support when needed. The role will involveworking independently and with minimum assistance.Duties & Responsibilities:Answering the telephone and reception desk inquiries, assisting guests with any queries, providing them with help and support when needed and taking any messages for the Day Manager.
  • To oversee the gated access to the building ensuring that access to the premises is restricted to guests and approved visitors only.
  • To ensure our guests are always following House Rules.
  • To ensure Health and Safety rules are adhered to at all times including building checks to ensure all interior and exterior hallways and walkways, doors and exits are clear of any obstruction e.g., prams left in hallways or obstructing doors or stairs,and fire exits.
  • Ensuring high standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the building and grounds by encouraging our guests to do the same. Light cleaning duties may be required.
  • Report any maintenance issues to the Day Manager.
  • To be the first point of call when dealing with emergencies, e.g., fire, medical, police.
  • To report and log issues relating to the personal security, welfare and safety of our guests appropriately.
  • To report any breaches of security or damage to or in the building to the Day Manager.
  • To report any nuisance or anti-social behaviour caused by guests or their visitors immediately to the Day Manager.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
  • Ability to work in customer care and quality-focused manner.
  • Ability to deal with difficult situations and handle conflict calmly and appropriately.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Mandatory Requirements
  • Willingness to undergo a satisfactory DBS check
