2nd/3rd Line Infrastructure EngineerSpalding / Hybrid Monday and Friday Salary up to £28,000Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join the team as a 2nd/3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer. In this role, you will support desktop applications and IT systems daily. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellentcommunication skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. You will have the opportunity to enhance your IT skills and knowledge in a supportive, hands-on environment. Working proactively and interacting with individualsat all levels is crucial. The ideal candidate will need to have 3-4 years of 2nd line experience, and be involved in projects previously.Roles and ResponsibilitiesResolve helpdesk requests promptly and efficiently.Perform daily system health checks.Maintain daily backup processes.Provide support for Microsoft Desktop & Server Operating Systems.Administer Windows 2012/2016/2019 Server environments.Conduct desktop software maintenance, including software installations, patching, and upgrades.Perform hardware and software auditing.Offer hardware support for servers, desktops, thin clients, and laptops.Provide hardware support for various printer types, including thermal printers.Respond to critical out-of-hours support issues.Plan and managed the relocation of IT equipment as needed during different trading periods.Desired skills and experience* Extensive experience troubleshooting Microsoft desktop operating systems.* Proficient in troubleshooting Microsoft Office applications.* Good knowledge of Office365 administration and management.* Familiarity with MS Active Directory and on-premise server estates.* Knowledge of troubleshooting networked devices such as PCs, laptops, and printers.* Working knowledge of Azure.Due to the nature of the role, a valid driving license is required as you may be required to provide on-site support during unconventional hours. Additionally, there will be occasional travel to other sites.
