Job Description

Procurement ManagerDo you have previous Procurement Manager experience Are you wanting to join a growing and successful team who are passionate about their staff and development Then please apply below.This is what youll be doingThis is an excellent opportunity for a Procurement Manager to join a fast paced and growing consultancy company based in Penarth. You will work closely with the Partners to develop strategies and improve processes. You will also:

  • Provide advice on appropriate procurement strategies, from category and framework strategy through to overall business procurement strategy.
  • Lead bid and tender preparation and business development, as well as deliver procurement tenders involving multiple stakeholders
  • Develop and revise processes, procedures, and framework strategies.
  • Identify and manage key stakeholders within procurement processes
  • Ensure compliance to client, industry and public procurement standards at all times, alongside Health and Safety and Quality Assurance
  • Ensure Client delivery is above expectation through reviewing and improving project performance, service delivery and technical and commercial outcomes
  • Analyse supplier performance, including leading supplier improvement plans
  • Co-ordinate workload demands of the business and individual partners
  • Promote the procurement team to ensure early engagement with projects and clients.
  • Mentor, coach and support all members of the team in different activities, training and knowledge.
The experience youll bring to the teamAs a passionate and experienced Internal Recruiter, youll need to have:
  • Ideally a degree in one of the following: Procurement, construction, cost management, engineering or quantity surveying
  • Ideally one of the following qualifications: MAPM/MRICS/MCIPs or other equivalents
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the role within a similar sector, including construction, consultancy or engineering
  • A drive and passion to provide leadership and manage others
  • Excellent communication skills with people at all levels
  • Fantastic organisation and administrative skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work prioritise own workload
  • Excellent IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Confidence to work alone and manage tasks effectively
