Job Description

Roald Dahl.Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering a Hospitality chain that is recruiting for an Accounts Assistant/Payroller. This role would ideally suit someone who is studying towards their AAT qualification, but this is not essential - our client is more focusedon finding a personable and enthusiastic individual.The successful candidate will be based at the firms headquarters located in northeast Somerset with occasional flexibility to work from home on an ad-hoc basis.Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant/ Payroller will include:

  • Weekly entry of timesheets
  • Weekly review of discrepancies between timesheets and PeopleHR for submission to HR
  • Supporting the monthly processing of payroll
  • Entry of payments onto Sage Payroll and reconciliation to Paycalcs
  • Processing starters, leavers, birthday holidays, age related increases and other amendments
  • Uploading of daily sales takings to Advanced Financials
  • Processing rent and supplier invoices
  • Reconciling statements
  • Investigating any order variances over agreed tolerance
  • Dealing with supplier queries
  • Setting up new supplier accounts
The successful Accounts Assistant/Payroller will require the following skills and experience:
  • 2+ years experience in an accounts department (desirable)
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills
